Hi Anglers, recently i have had more reports of what seems like intimidating practices and blatant theft of items from anglers.

When you go fishing always insure your gear is kept close to you and safe, never enter into any kind of confrontation with anyone.

I was also astonished when i was chatting to a guy going fishing and he said he never goes fishing without a hammer in his bag......

thats crazy..things are certainly not this bad, yes there are reports of a few incidents, but this is few and isolated...

remember that not all europeans are like this few, many are dedicated and fully licenced, so i advise not to put everyone together into the same bracket, DCAL are doing their best at present to sort this out, if you do have cause for a complaint of theft etc, phone the police immediatly..

as i say, enjoy your angling trip, but as ever, no matter were you fish, always take care.
